Since 1994, following an agreement between the then Ministry for Cultural and Environmental Heritage and the Canosina Archaeological Foundation, the Museum is housed in a building dating back to the nineteenth century, Palazzo Sinesi. The building, initially intended to store finds from the urban area and the Canosa area and to host temporary exhibitions, since 2015, with the establishment of the Museum Complex, has become the seat of the National Archaeological Museum.
The current exhibition, renewed in 2018, illustrates a cross-section of Canosian society between the Archaic and Hellenistic ages, one of the most important moments in the millenary history of the city, with a sign and didactic system in Italian and English.
